Automatic Transfer Switch devices (ATS)

Application and designated area

Automatic transfer switch ATS is an inlet device intended to receive and distribute alternating electric current of 0.4 kW with frequency 50 Hz to feed consumers of 1st category.
Cover construction provides inlet and outlet of supply and outdoing lines both up and bottom in any combinations.
By Customer’s option, ATS devices can be equipped with surge arresters of class В.
The door is locked.
Installation of hanging devices is (25 — 160А) flexible and is provided with mounting brackets and anchors, mounted via holes in the back wall. Standing devices are fixed via four holes in the bottom with help of anchors.
ATS devices are performed in metal constructions with dimensions complying with rated current and hardware variant of ATS.

Functional features

Operational automatic switching of ATS-100 is performed in case of one, two or three phases missing, in emergency short-circuit modes of the main or protection inlet of power supply network. ATS device consists of a set of inlet, power commutation, distribution, control and signal devices placed in a single-side service casing.
Operational automatic switching of ATS-200 is performed with controlled time delay in case of a phase rotation, asymmetry of phase voltages, missing one or more phases, symmetric voltage drop, emergency short-circuit modes of the main or protection inlet of power supply network.
Operational automatic switching of ATS-300 is performed with controlled time delay basing on operation and protection phase rotation, phase voltage asymmetry, missing one or more phases, symmetric voltage drop, emergency short-circuit modes.
Operational automatic switching of ATS-400 performs the same functions and controls the same supply network parameters as ATS-200. Special feature consists in a higher operation current (1n = 250, 400А).
ATS -500 device performs commutation of loads with controlled time delay basing on phase rotation, missing one or more phases, symmetric or asymmetric voltage drop of supply inlets as well as in short circuit mode.
Special feature of ATS -500 consists in a section unit between equal nonvolatile inlets which helps to perform commutation in parallel operation as a result of an emergency of a one inlet.
ATS -600 device performs the same functions and controls the same supply network parameters as of ATS -500. Special feature consists in two section units.

Device rated current decreases by 15% when degree of protection of device casing is IP 54.
Inexplosive environment with no current-conducting dust, concentrated aggressive gases or vapors which damage metal and insulation.
Elevation over sea level 2000 m.

Group of application conditions in part of action of mechanical factors М1 acc. to GOST 17516.1 — 90.
Operation condition — vertical. Allowed deviation of operation conditions not more than 5*.
Safety requirements comply with GOST 12.2.007.0-75 and GOST 22789-94 as well as CEP requirements, Regulations for Operation of Consumer Electrical Installations specified by Minenergo.
Fire requirements comply with GOST 12.1.004-91
