Pole package transformer substation
Application and designated area
Pole-top package transformer substations with poles (hereafter — PPTS) are intended to receive three-phase alternating current with LV of 6-10 kV, transform it and distribute over three-phase four-cable network with a grounded neutral at voltage of 0.4 kV (LV) to power supply country town consumers. Pole-top substation specifications are specified in the following table.
Structure of reference designation
PPTS — ХХХ / 10 (6) / 0.4 — U1, version 1-6;
PPTS is letter designation (pole-top package transformer substation);
XXX — number which determines power of substation in kVA;
10, (6) — rated voltage on high voltage side (HV-10;6 kV);
0.4 — rated voltage on lower voltage side (LV-0.4 kV);
U1 — climatic and position category complies with GOST 15150-69;
* Hardware version is chosen from the table.

Design
Pole-top transformer substation is installed on two construction metal legs OL 10kV interconnected with metal constructions with substation equipment: power transformer, 10 kV fuses, RVO arresters, low voltage switchgear (LVSG RUNN) and crossarms which connect OL 0.4 kV. Substation connection to the network is made by means of breaker QS1 of HVBO installed on leg OL-10 (6) kV.
Schematic circuit diagram
Scheme 2 describes power transformer connected to a 10 kV line by means of breaker and fuses.
Side of transformer substation of 0.4 kV with grounded low voltage transformer winding is connected to power lines and street lighting line (Customer’s option).
Circuits of lines 0.4 kV are equipped with:
• automatic breakers with surge and short circuit protection;
• switches with protection of outgoing lines with fuses of type PN 2.
Power account is performed with a three-phase counter switching via current transformers.
Circuits of street lighting line are equipped with starting switches controlled by photoelectric relays.
